Brazil will play its first match at the World Cup in Qatar against Serbia tonight at 8 pm. Do Neymar & co immediately live up to their favorite role?
Without a doubt, Brazil is again one of the top favorites for the final win at this World Cup. In group G they will have to compete against Serbia, Cameroon and Switzerland. It will by no means be an easy job. So they start today against Serbia. At 8 pm the ball will be kicked off for what will immediately be a serious test for the star team of national coach Tite.
In Serbia we see a lot of old acquaintances. Aleksandar Mitrovic (ex-Anderlecht) will have to score the goals. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (ex-Genk) is perhaps the best player the Serbian national coach can have at his disposal. The Lazio player is a true midfield metronome and is also highly regarded.
Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (ex-Standard), Stefan Mitrovic (ex-Kortrijk and KAA Gent), Filip Mladenovic (ex-Standard) and Filip Djuricic (ex-Anderlecht) also once played in the Belgian league. We will be curious if these former Jupiler Pro League players will be able to do anything against Brazil’s star ensemble.
