Web compares meteor seen in Minas Gerais with Netflix movie

The web is frightened by the meteor seen by residents of the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba regions, in Minas Gerais. Soon after the records went viral, netizens remembered the movie Don’t Look Up, available on Netflix.

The real-life meteor was seen by residents of Uberlândia, Patos de Minas, Nova Ponte, Santa Juliana, Pedrinópolis and Perdizes. Reports are of a trail of light seen in the sky and then a loud bang.

The extraordinary apparition took place on the night of January 14th. According to information from G1, there is an ongoing research to find out if fragments of the meteor may have fallen to Earth.

With the case, netizens soon compared the situation with Don’t Look Up. The Netflix movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence follows two scientists who warn of a meteor that could destroy Earth.

However, many people don’t take the matter seriously, causing them to start a tour for everyone to believe in the possibility. In real life, netizens even made jokes, but everyone believes in the meteor.
