Cheering to the skies or saddened to death: a visit to “Bares for Rares” can go both ways. Unfortunately, Roswitha Rockstroh had to put up with the unloved variant.
Roswitha Rockstroh proudly presented a gift that she once received from her boss as a token of appreciation for her work. The former industrial clerk assumed that the coat of arms was an original and wanted 1,000 euros as proceeds.
If their assumption had been correct, up to 1,800 euros would have been possible for the railway sign in the dealership of “Bares for Rares”, according to the estimate of the expert Detlev Müller. Unfortunately, the good piece was only a replica from the 1970s, which had a significant impact on the pricing. According to the devastating diagnosis, EUR 300 to 350 is the maximum that can be achieved for the copy. “That hurts,” replied Roswitha Rockstroh, visibly disappointed, and shook her head.
Even though the likeable pensioner assumed for years that she owned an original cast from the train company “Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits”, whose coat of arms also adorned the legendary Orient Express, among other things, she accepted the dealer card. After all, thanks to Fabian Kahl, she was able to mitigate the damage a little.
Halfway conciliatory end in the dealer room
In the dealer’s room, everyone immediately noticed that the sign was missing the drill holes, making it a replica that was never attached to a train. However, Waldi and Co. showed interest. After all, Fabian Kahl paid 420 euros, more than Detlev Kümmel predicted. Nevertheless, Roswitha Rockstroh may have imagined her visit to “Bares for Rares” differently.
In these cases it was even worse. in the Video you will find the biggest disappointments from “Bares for Rares”.
