A violent fire broke out during the night from Saturday to Sunday, around 1 am.
This fire, spectacular, took in an unknown way, in the roof of a house installed in the rue du Pré Barré, in Acoz, in the entity of Gerpinnes.
Help arrived very quickly, but the blaze had had time to spread. A neighbour, also a firefighter, had seen the blaze and had gone to wake up the occupant of the premises, an 84-year-old woman: the victim was able to be evacuated from the back of the burning house.
The Germinalt police zone was also present on the spot.
