Violent fire in a restaurant in Ixelles, three people rescued by firefighters

A violent fire broke out on Saturday morning in the kitchen of a restaurant located in rue de Dublin in Ixelles. Three people living above the establishment had to be rescued by firefighters, the latter said.

The firefighters were called at 7:20 a.m. by a surveillance company which had spotted the fire thanks to its surveillance cameras.

Three people were present in the apartment located above the restaurant. After being rescued by firefighters, they were examined on the spot. None of them had to be taken to hospital.

The fire was brought under control, but the damage to the restaurant was significant. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
