Valentín Elizalde: what happened to the tomb of the Golden Rooster 15 years after his death

Much is said about a possible curse in the singer’s family, as his father Gallo de Oro died the same month 29 years ago, in a car accident on the road, when he returned from giving a presentation in Villa Juarez, Sonora.

The remains of the singer who died at the age of 27 lie in Guasave, Sinaloa, along with his father and other relatives. His grave had a rooster arrangement at the top, for Everardo Elizalde was called “The Big Rooster”, nickname that Valentine passed and after his death, his brother inherited “El Flaco” Elizalde.

Precisely, “El Flaco” denounced that his brother’s grave was vandalized on several occasions, which is why the rooster is no longer part of the family crypt.

This song would be in honor of the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán “. The melody would be a message from Guzmán Loera to his enemies, as the song is titled.

The Gulf Cartel, the main enemy of the Sinaloa Cartel, according to versions of the authorities, would claim the recipient of the song’s message. Therefore, they assassinated the messenger: Valentine Elizalde.


Two names come up among those responsible for the murder of “The golden rooster”: Raúl Hernández Barrón, alias “El Flamder I”, and Jaime Gonzáles Durán, alias “El Hummer”.

Both are considered founders of “Los Zetas” by federal authorities. And they are currently in detention.
