Stars pay their last respects to Bob Saget
Actor Bob Saget is making a name for himself with his role on the sitcom Full House. The sudden death of the 66-year-old comes as a shock to many. Numerous Hollywood stars from the music, comedy and film industries paid tribute to him at his funeral.
Barely a week after his death, family, friends and colleagues paid their respects to the late comedian Bob Saget (1956-2022). His “Full House” colleagues John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were among those present at the funeral ceremony in Los Angeles on Friday (January 14).
Host Jimmy Kimmel, who paid an emotional tribute to Saget on his talk show last week, was also in attendance. In addition, stars such as singer John Mayer, comedian Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock and Kathy Griffin were seen in front of the funeral home.
Bob Saget passed away last Sunday (January 9) in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida. He was in the middle of a comedy tour and had performed on stage the night before. In the days following his sudden death, numerous Hollywood stars, celebrity friends and former colleagues paid tribute to the actor. Candace Cameron Bure, who played Saget’s daughter on the series Full House, described him as the “glue” of the Full House family in an Instagram post.
Saget played the role of family man Danny Tanner from 1987 to 1995. John Stamos, who played his brother-in-law on the show, was also devastated. “Today will be the hardest day of my life,” he wrote on Twitter before the funeral. As one of the pallbearers, he paid his last respects to his colleague, as shown by photos published by “People” magazine, among others. Saget is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and three adult daughters from his first marriage.
