Upcoming movies 2021: The audience returns to cinema halls, Upcoming Movies that can get Bumper Opening at Box Office in 2021

After the second wave of Corona, there were many buts in the cinema industry across the country as to how the audience would react now. But in Bollywood, where Akshay Kumar played the stake of releasing his film ‘Bell Bottom’ in theaters. At the same time, the people of South cinema had started even before him. ‘Bell Bottom’, which released in theaters on August 19 with all restrictions, has collected around 25 crores in India and around 40 crores worldwide in the first two weeks. Of course, for a superstar like Akshay Kumar, this earnings will be considered very low, but looking at the current circumstances, industry experts are considering it as a good performance. Market experts say that gradually the audience is reaching the right theaters.

Trade analyst Sumit says, “Whatever the collections may have been, ‘Bell Bottom’ has worked to bring back life in theatres. All the theaters which were closed since March 2020 have also opened with the release of Bell Bottom. Now we need continuous release of such big films. Hopefully this can happen by Diwali. On the other hand, South Cinema’s film ‘SR Kalyanamandapam’, which released on August 6, earned 12 crores, indicating the positive mood of the audience. After this, South Cinema’s film ‘Pagal’, which was released on August 14, earned 6 crores, while its next week release ‘Raja Raja Chaura’ earned 7 crores. In this way the mood of the audience is being considered positive.

Cinemas are still closed in Maharashtra
The opening of cinema in Maharashtra was announced in the last week of July. Soon after that Akshay announced the release of his film on 19 July. But ultimately the cinemas of Maharashtra did not open and the makers of ‘Bell Bottom’ decided to release the film without it. While the cinemas of Maharashtra are not expected to open this month as well. Significantly, out of about 10,000 cinema screens across the country, about three and a half thousand screens are in Maharashtra. In such a situation, ‘Bell Bottom’ directly suffered a loss of one third of the screen. Apart from this, the evening shows are not running due to the restriction of 50 percent audience in the rest of the screen and night ban in some states. Despite so many restrictions, if ‘Bell Bottom’ has collected 25 crores in the first two weeks, then experts are taking it as a sign that the audience is now ready to return to the cinema.

The market will be decorated with Kangana’s ‘Thalaivi’ and Hollywood films
By reaching the theaters to see ‘Bell Bottom’, the audience has given an indication somewhere that Raunak is about to return. The Hollywood films ‘Fast and Furious 9’ and ‘Shang Chi’ released in the past have made their debut with the earning of crores. Further, films like Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivi’ and James Bond series’ No Time to Die are expected to keep the theaters alive.

There will be clash with South Indian films
Producer and film business analyst Girish Johar says, “South cinemas started releasing films before us and there is a good response from the audience as well. In the coming days, there will be Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivi’ doing well at the box office, Rajinikanth’s ‘Annathe’ on Diwali and Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ on Christmas. Whereas next year Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam, Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ and SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ have a huge craze. According to Girish, ‘If we talk about before Kovid, then the collection of 25 crores in two weeks of Akshay’s ‘Bell Bottom’ will definitely be said to be very less. But if we talk about the current circumstances, instead of weighing this film in the scales of hit or flop, it will be called a good performance. On the one hand the cinemas of Maharashtra are closed, on the other hand, the restriction of 50 percent capacity is applicable in all other states as well. In such a situation, even if Bell Bottom has earned 25 crores, then it should be considered equal to big earnings in the right days. At the same time, films of South Cinema are also doing well. Everyone has expectations from ‘Thalaivi’ in the coming days.
