Tuesday on TV: Fans are still puzzling about the end of this sci-fi masterpiece

Have you ever woken up after a dream and asked yourself: was that real? Or did I just dream it? Then Christopher Nolan has the right film ready for you.

A little more than ten years ago, a blockbuster appeared in the cinemas, at the end of which the audience tears their hair to this day. Is meant “inception” by director Christopher Nolan, whom you can see on July 26, 2022 at 8:15 p.m. on Kabel 1 can see on free TV.

With stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard, the sci-fi thriller had some real Hollywood greats in front of the camera. Tom Hardy and Elliot Page, then known as Ellen Page, were still at the beginning of their careers in 2010.

Thanks to Sky Q, you can also access Netflix and stream “Inception” independently of the TV broadcast.

Between dream and reality – the Nolan way

After the cinema success of “The Dark Knight”, Nolan did not rest on his laurels, but shot the groundbreaking sci-fi thriller “Inception” in Paris, among other things. It is about a group of specialists who tap into the subconscious of clients and targets and search for information, or in this case implant an idea, through fanned dream levels. However, Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) soon feels first-hand that there can be some complications, especially if your own consciousness also latches on.

As breathtaking and impressive as the film is to watch, the ending is still the subject of much debate today, a good twelve years after it was released in cinemas. For those who may not have seen the film yet, at first glance there are several options as to what the filmmaker might have meant. Just a few years ago, Michael Caine commented on what the ending meant, citing Nolan himself.

How you look at the film yourself: “Inception” is one of those films that as a science fiction fan you should have seen at least once in your life. If you have missed it so far, you can catch the free TV broadcast on July 27, 2022 or alternatively stream the blockbuster on Netflix’s offer.
