In his memoir – titled Breaking History: A White House Memoir – Jared Kuhner says he learned the news in October 2019 while visiting a Louis Vuitton factory with his wife. ‘The morning I flew to Texas to attend the Louis Vuitton factory opening, White House physician Sean Conley pulled me aside in the Air Force One medical cabin.’ Your test results came in from Walter Reed. You have cancer. We need to operate on you right away,'” Jared Juhner recalled.
“I am the president”
When he learned of his illness, he had asked the doctor to keep the secret and not to reveal this illness to his wife and father-in-law. But, the latter was actually already aware. “I am the president. I know everything. I understand that you want to keep this to yourself. I am the same with these kinds of problems”, had explained the Republican to the husband of his daughter, before telling him about his imminent operation . “Everything will be fine. Don’t worry about work. We take care of everything here”. At the time of the announcement, Jared Kushner remembers telling himself that his fate was “in the hands of God and the doctors”.
