‘True Lies’: Series Based on James Cameron’s Film Gets Green Light from CBS

According to TVLinea CBS gave the green light to the series ‘True Lies‘, based on the classic film by James Cameron (‘Avatar’).

Steve Howey (‘Shameless’) will star in the production. The actor will play Harry – role of the Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1994 film – a seemingly ordinary salesman devoted to his family who is, in fact, a spy.

Ginger Gonzaga will also star in the series as Helen, a housewife who is shocked to discover that her husband is an international spy.

The script for the first episode was written by Matt Nix (‘Burn Notice’).

McG (‘Charlie’s Angels’) will direct the pilot.
