TRASH! Tom Cruise FIRED Twenty One Pilots from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Soundtrack

In a recent interview with KROQ (via billboard), the vocalist Tyler Josephfrom the band Twenty One Pilotsrevealed that he and the drummer Josh Dun had been cast to participate in the soundtrack of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’sequel to the 1986 classic.

But things didn’t go as planned and the duo was fired by the star and producer of the feature film, Tom Cruise.

“I was working on the music for the new ‘Top Gun’writing a new song for them, and then I think Tom Cruise just walked into the room and fired everybody.”Joseph tells.

A spokesperson for Cruise could not be reached for comment on the event. However, a source close to the production of the feature film revealed to billboard that the band was never officially involved with the soundtrack.

Eventually, the Oscar winner Lady Gaga was slated to sign the sequel’s theme song, “Hold My Hand”and collaborate on the soundtrack alongside Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe and Harold Faltermeyer.

‘Top Gun: Maverick‘ debut on the day May 26th in Brazil, and was budgeted in US$ 150 million.
