The school is a friendly, hardworking school, set in large grounds. There are 2 classes in each year group from Nursery through to Year 6. The staff achieve high standards of learning and behaviour and work hard to ensure that all children reach their potential. Children are welcomed from all religious and cultural backgrounds and those with disabilities and special needs.
This Primary School is a large and spacious building built on two levels. It underwent a recent refurbishment with new classrooms and other facilities. In addition to the classrooms, there is a computing suite, library, several small areas for group work, two sports halls and offices.
Staff work incredibly hard to provide an attractive and stimulating environment in classrooms, halls and corridors and children are proud to have their learning displayed.
The grounds of the school contain four main areas: the Foundation Stage environment, Key Stage One playground, Key Stage Two playground and a much-loved wildlife garden and wildlife area. The two main playgrounds are full of games and activities for children to play.
The school offers a creative, skills-based curriculum that combines excellence in teaching with enjoyment in learning. Staff strongly believe that children learn even more when they are away from the classroom! They include a wide range of educational visits to enrich the curriculum including art galleries, theatres, historic sites and areas of local significance, to introduce children to the rich culture that the Royal Borough of Greenwich has to offer.
All applicants must have qualified teacher status (QTS). This role would suit an experienced teacher on the Main Pay Scale with a passion for nurturing the ‘whole-child’.
