The site also reports that Titanic will be remastered in 3D, 4K and HDR. Jon Landau, who Cameron has worked with for years, showed some of the remastered version at CineEurope on Wednesday (22).

With that, Titanic will boost its box office, which already held the record for the highest grossing of all time until Avatar and, later, Avengers: Endgame.

In all, Titanic made $2.2 billion at the box office, surpassed by the current $2.8 billion for Avatar and the $2.7 billion for the Marvel movie.

Titanic fans discover problem between Jack and Rose

At the end of Titanic, Rose ends up changing her last name from DeWitt Bukater to Dawson, in order to honor Jack, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and to finally escape her family and her suitor. Fans pointed out a problem with this event in the film.

A Reddit user (via ScreenRant) explained that the change in last name wouldn’t be the end of all her problems.

The change comes when she and other survivors are saved by RMS Carpathia. When asked her name, Kate Winslet’s character replies “Rose Dawson”. Days later the list of survivors was released and apparently her family thought she was dead.

The initial problem is that they would realize the name Rose and that Dawson is Jack’s last name, something they knew. Then they would have identified Rose eventually.

In case you didn’t remember Jack’s last name, there’s still another point that doesn’t make sense. Rose eventually becomes an actress and invariably some family member, her ex-fiancé would recognize the character.

It’s an exciting ending to Titanic, but it doesn’t make much sense.
