Thunderstorms Alert: The countdown to the rainy season has started. The returning monsoon is causing heavy rains in many places. The latest news is that the Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Odisha. Also, storm winds are expected in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. According to IMD, a cyclonic circulation will remain over South-East Rajasthan and East Gujarat for the next three days. Apart from this, the westerly winds will also prevail, due to which there is a possibility of heavy rain.

Scattered rain and thundershowers are expected over the eastern part of Gujarat. Rain will also occur over Northeast Rajasthan, Eastern part of Uttar Pradesh, West Bihar, North Jharkhand and Andaman Islands. Heavy rain is likely over South Rajasthan and southern parts of Odisha. Dense fog is forecast in East Madhya Pradesh in the morning.

At the same time, due to the returning monsoon, heavy rains are occurring in some places in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in Konkan and areas of Goa, Odisha and Chhattisgarh from September 10 to 12.

During the last 24 hours, heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places over South and Southeast Rajasthan, parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Maharashtra. Similarly Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, parts of Punjab, Delhi, West and Central Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Odisha, parts of West Bengal, remaining parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Sikkim And parts of Assam have recorded light to moderate rain.

According to Skymet Weather, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Western parts of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining East Rajasthan. The Monsoon Trough is passing through Bikaner, Kota, Guna, Siddhi, Ambikapur, Puri and then moving southeastwards across East Central Bay of Bengal. A cyclonic circulation remains over north central Bay of Bengal, and a low pressure area is expected to develop over the same area by September 11. A trough is extending from Northeast Arabian Sea to North Central Bay of Bengal across Gujarat, South Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh and South Odisha.
