Thor hits mark at Marvel and Chris Hemsworth reacts

When Thor: Love and Thunder (Thor 4) hits theaters soon, it will be a brand new one for the MCU.

The Chris Hemsworth-starring film will be the first time in the overall franchise that an Avenger will receive four solo films.

Now, in a conversation with the fandangoHemsworth reacted to being the only actor in the MCU to have four solo films, calling it “cool” and talking about how much he loves playing the character.

“Yeah, no one else made four. That was cool,” said Chris Hemsworth.

“I loved playing this character and every time I did, I had the opportunity to do something different, especially when Taika came along. Every time there is a new creative venture and a different place to explore. It’s been a lot of fun.”

“This movie is full of limitless opportunities to recreate or rebuild Thor again, because in the last movie he was in a different space. So this movie was a journey of self-recognition for all of us.”

While the movie was a journey of self-discovery for Hemsworth in terms of production, the final product is set to be the shortest runtime for Marvel in years.

The film’s listing on AMC and Cineworld gives the film just 119 minutes in length, just one minute longer than 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp.

However, even though the film has a shorter runtime, Hemsworth indicated that there are plenty of scenes, enough that there’s a sort of “editorial multiverse” possible.

“There’s an editorial multiverse to this movie, depending on which way you went with which improvised scene,” said Chris Hemsworth.

Director Taika Waititi added that the film could have its own multiverse entirely, adding, “There is potential for 15 different versions of this film.”
