THIS series dethroned Manifest in the Netflix Top 10

Manifest Season 4 Part 1 premiered on Netflix on November 4, 2022. The series stayed at #1 in the Top 10 for two weeks – beating all other streaming hits. But this Wednesday (16), the thriller was finally dethroned by one of the biggest hits on the platform.

“Amidst loss and hardship, the Stone family and the passengers of Flight 828 struggle to make sense of their calling and the continuing appearance of ominous signs,” states the official synopsis for Manifest Season 4.

Below, we reveal everything you need to know about the series that just topped Manifest in the Netflix Top 10.

The Crown overtakes Manifest in Netflix Top 10

Season 5 of The Crown premiered on Netflix on November 9, 2022. A week later, the series finally surpassed Manifest, securing Number 1 on the streaming Top 10.

But attention! We’re talking Netflix’s Top 10 Worldwide. In the Brazilian ranking, the historical series still loses to Manifest and Chiquititas.

In fact, in the Brazilian Top 10 on Netflix, Manifest was surpassed by Chiquititas – which, once again, became the most watched series on the platform.

The fact that The Crown surpasses Manifest in Netflix’s international rankings is not a surprise. The series is one of the biggest hits on the platform, both with the public and with specialized critics.

The new episodes, however, were criticized for not reproducing the level of the previous chapters. For many fans and experts alike, season 5 of The Crown is the least interesting.

Even so, the new episodes address some of the most important events for the Royal Family – such as the fire at Buckingham Palace, Elizabeth II’s 40 years on the throne and the divorce of Prince Charles and Lady Di.

Season 5 of The Crown is also the first to be released following the deaths of Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth II. The couple died, respectively, in April 2021 and September 2022.

“Diana and Charles wage a tabloid war, and the role of the monarchy begins to be questioned. It looks like the 1990s will bring challenges for Queen Elizabeth,” states the official synopsis for The Crown season 5.

The new episodes also bring important changes in the cast. In the role of Queen Elizabeth, Olivia Colman (The Favourite) leaves and Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter) enters.

The main cast of season 5 of The Crown also includes Jonathan Pryce (Prince Phillip), Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret), Dominic West (Prince Charles) and Elizabeth Debicki (Princess Diana).

All episodes from Season 5 of The Crown (and Season 4 of Manifest) are available on Netflix🇧🇷
