‘The Walking Dead’ spin-offs will have new zombie variants, says showrunner

In an interview with TVLinethe showrunner Angela Kang revealed the upcoming spin-offs of ‘The Walking Dead‘ – which came to an end after 11 seasons – are set to explore the new zombie variants that were introduced in the original series.

“I can’t reveal too many details about this, but we wanted to explore these new zombie variants in the original series. One such variation is the Stalkers. There is a kind of rule around them, like the behavior of Michonne’s “pets”, for example. That variant was introduced many seasons ago – zombies that could climb and hold things.”

She completes, “We wanted to see what happens when we mix these variants into a zombie horde. We definitely leave the doors open to explore these variants [em futuros spin-offs]🇧🇷 Anyone who watched ‘World Beyond’ knows that there are different evolutions in different places.”
