An artist residency which began last June, with the Bap! 2022the Biennale of Architecture and Landscapes of Île-de-Franceand which continues beyond the Heritage Dayson September 17 and 18, 2022, culminating in a presentation of the artists’ finished works for the occasion.
Waiting for the Heritage Daysthe Verrecchia Endowment Fund invites you to come and meet the artists at work. In total, there are about ten of them to take turns on site, and work on their works: Pray, Kuamen, Emilie Hirayama, Marine area, Nova MateriaPic Studio… So many personalities of the contemporary arts all working around the same material: freestone.
This comes from the quarries of Grignon geosite, and invests the former hospital center in various forms straight out of the imagination of artists. For those who are not used to working stone, companions of duty come to their aid to carry out their works, some of which are imagined in collaboration with the Camille Claudel Vocational High School of Remiremont, in the Vosges.
And for the Heritage Days, many activities are planned, including conferences. For the complete program, however, we will have to wait a little longer. But we do not hesitate to turn around Maye Castle for a taste of the festivities. Are we booking, friends?
