She had barely bitten into her burger when she quickly realized that something was wrong. Too salty ? Not enough sauce? Not exactly. On February 12, a 38-year-old woman discovered a dead lizard in the Big Tasty she had ordered from McDonald’s in Saint-Witz, Val d’Oise. “Do you make McLizards now? This is unacceptable,” she commented on Twitter.
That same evening, she went to see the restaurant staff with a friend. He is then offered… a 10% reduction on his next meal. A few days later, we come back to her to offer her an arrangement with the assurance of fast food.
The discovery of this dead reptile had consequences: so the mother of an 8-month-old boy, the one who had ordered his meal via a delivery application decided to stop breastfeeding. Since lizards can carry diseases such as salmonellosis, she wanted to take precautions.
More than a year later, she decided to file a complaint against the fast-food giant, as related by Le Parisien. A hearing will take place in February 2023 in Pontoise, in the Val d’Oise.
