‘The Boys’: Series Creator Promises Apocalyptic Event Caused by Homelander

Every season of’the boys‘, the Homeland Captain (Antony Starr) reveals new layers of cruelty, proving himself to be capable of any atrocity to maintain his image as the greatest ‘superhero’ that ever lived.

And during an interview with WGAthe showrunner Eric Kripke revealed that the writers are preparing an apocalyptic event that will be caused by the villain.

“The focus of the series is to follow the meta-mythology around the slow unfolding of Homelander. The screenwriters and Antony Starr are working on the climax of the entire series, so this guy is going to become a complete sociopath, and he has to be stopped before he can cause – and he can – some kind of apocalyptic event.”

krypke added that he and the writers are already laying the groundwork for that direction.

“We are building the bridge to get to that moment. So the question is, ‘What are the barriers that stop you from doing this? Why hasn’t he done it yet? What are the things he needs?’ And finally, ‘how can we stop it?’”

krypke concluded that when that moment comes, it will not be an evolution of the Homelander, but a deconstruction, considering that he is about to be unmasked.

This will probably only happen in the last season of the attraction.

Meanwhile, the next episode of season 3 hits the amazon Prime Video in June 17th.

The new cycle will also introduce Laurie Holden (Crimson Countess), Sean Patrick Flanery (Supersonic), Nick Wechsler (Blue Hawk) and Miles Gaston Villanueva (Gunpowder).
