The 2022 World Circus Festival of Tomorrow canceled

The Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain, which was due to return from January 27 to 30, 2022 on the lawn of Reuilly in Paris, is once again canceled and postponed. Indeed, in view of the health requirements due to the Covid pandemic and the international nature of the event, this 42nd edition posed too many impossible constraints.

Every year, there is excitement in Paris under the marquee of Phoenix Circus on the occasion of World Circus Festival of Tomorrow. This 42nd edition, which was to be held from January 27 to 30, 2022 once again cannot take place. Indeed, this event which brings together in one place young talents from all over the world for an extraordinary completion, sees its edition 2022 canceled.

Alain M. Pacherie, took the decision to postpone this 42nd edition to 2023 (from January 26 to 29), due to the Covid pandemic, following an extraordinary general meeting. He said in a statement: ” We studied at length all the parameters at our disposal and we came to the difficult conclusion that we had to postpone the holding of our event for the second consecutive year. »

Due to its international dimension, it was impossible for artists and the international public to respond to a complete vaccination pass comprising 3 doses, as currently required by health authorities, the standards not being the same in all countries. To avoid a halved festival, the decision was made to postpone.

As a reminder, the World Circus Festival of Tomorrow was born in 1977 and since then he has not stopped revealing the best of circus arts around the world every year. We discover and dedicate to it artists from all walks of life, whether they come from great circus families, colleges or simply self-taught.

All the promising young artists of under 25, from all over the world, usually meet for this unmissable event: France, Canada, China, Ethiopia, the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Mongolia, Brazil, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Vietnam, Turkey, but also Japan, Puerto Rico, Colombia or Venezuela make the colors of a young circus shine. , inventive, multidisciplinary and strong. Come and discover some of the best circus acts in the world.

These young people compete for 4 days in the sight of thousands of spectators, hundreds of professionals and jurors intransigent who will name the stars of tomorrow. Accuracy, virtuosity and grace will distinguish these artists who will give 100% during this festival.
