Want to live a magic moment with family and friends a few weeks away Christmas ? So head to Villette Park on the occasion of the new edition of the Lantern Festival at Paris. This year lantern parade stands on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 5 p.m., and intends to amaze young and old alike.
Every year since 2015, the lantern parade brings together passers-by around lights for our greatest happiness. After an edition canceled in 2020 due to the covid-19 epidemic, and a successful return in 2021, the lantern festival returns again to La Villette. The concept ? Walk with a hundred handmade lanternsand so illuminate the Parc de la Villette the time of a poetic and musical walk.
Please note that there is no distribution or sale of lanterns on site on the day of the event. These lanterns, made of paper, silk and wicker, are made upstream in dedicated workshops. Also note that no release of flying lanterns is scheduled for December 10th. On the other hand, the public is invited to follow this magnificent wandering and discover the Villette Park from another angle, by candlelight.
This lantern parade is integrated into “Lights“, another magical event imagined for these 2022 end-of-year celebrations at La Villette.
These beautiful shows take place in parallel with other festival of lights which are likely to embellish this month of December 2022 in Paris.
