For the 2022 Christmas holidays, the City of Paris is once again setting up a Christmas village on the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville, with a mini Christmas market and free rides from December 2, 2022 to January 1, 2023.

We spin on the Square of the town hall as Christmas approaches to discover a pretty lively village. This year again, the City of Paris is offering its own illuminationsa christmas town, with a miniChristmas market and free rides from Friday, December 2, 2022 to Sunday, January 1, 2023.

Like every year, a sublime projection on the facade of the monument comes to bring even more magic during the holidays. We also have the sparkling forest of fir trees and the free rides for children. Pretty decorations, sports activities including sledging, climbing or wooden horses, chalets with Parisian products and something to enjoy mulled wine and pretzels, here’s a nice walk to do, whether you’re with your family or not.

When the illuminations are revealed in Paris:

A few chalets brighten up this pretty village. In the program, delicacieschocolate and mulled wine and sale of artisan products from the label Made in Paris are offered to you.

The firs who decorate the forecourt of the Town Hall are chosen by the City out of concern for the environment. They come from the horticultural production center of the City of Paris (located in Achères, in Île-de-France) or in the forests of Morvan and come from sustainably managed plantations. Some of them are in pots and can thus be reused over the next few years, the others will end their lives in the city’s green spaces, in the form of mulch, a very effective natural protection used in planted beds.
