Thailand Box Office First Weekend: Kangana Ranaut Film Earns 4.75 Crore

Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Thalaivi’ is looking battered at the box office. The film managed to earn only Rs 4.75 crore on the first weekend. Seeing the situation of lockdown in Maharashtra belt, it was decided to release this film of Kangana in theatres. The film released on 10 September and could not even touch the 5 crore mark in three days.

The total earnings of the Hindi version of the film was around 1 crore. While Hindi earned 25 lakhs on Opening Day, 30 lakhs on Saturday and 45 lakhs on Sunday. At the same time, talking about the recent release (August 19) Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bell Bottom’, it earned Rs 15 crore nationwide on the first weekend.

Kangana’s film did well in its Tamil version, from Tamil Nadu where the film did a business of 2.75 crores, while Rs 50 lakhs came from other places, including Bangalore.

This film of Kangana did not show anything special in Tamil Nadu compared to the local film Labaam. While the film earned 4 crores in the first four days, Kangana’s ‘Thalaivi’ managed to earn only 1 crores in three days in Chennai.

According to information received from the filmmakers, ‘Thalaivi’ has already earned over 85 crores with satellite, digital and music rights even before the theatrical release.
