The audience couldn’t get their hands off this evening’s ‘Made in Denmark – Danish hip-hop’ concert at Bøgescenen.

The biggest Danish hip-hop names from the past 25 years – from East Coast Hustlers to Kesi – performed here in a veritable hit parade with each of their biggest numbers.

But unfortunately there were also two of the announced names that never appeared.

Both Kidd and Tessa – who otherwise both have already performed at Smukfest earlier this week – had to cancel.

“It is absolutely correct that they did not show up. Unfortunately, both Kidd and Tessa were ill today, but I know they were really upset,’ booker Mikkel Xavier tells BT

For the past three years, he has been working on putting together the jubilee hit parade.

But at the last minute he had to continue patching up the program.

“We solved it – not least Lamin came in as a replacement for one of the names and played the hit ‘Window’. So we got an absolutely magical concert tonight,’ exults the Smukfest booker.

In addition to Lamin, Suspekt, Artigeardit, Benjamin Hav, De Danske Hyrder, Topgunn, Marvelous Mosell, Marwan, Østkyst Hustlers, Ude Af Kontrol, Den Gale Pose, Emil Stabil, ICEKIID, Johnson, Kesi, Niarn and Outlandish performed at the joint concert.

BT is trying to get a comment from Tessa and Kidd’s management.
