With the ATP Finals, the tennis year ends with a real highlight! The top eight players on the ATP tour will duel for the prestigious title from November 13th to 20th. In addition, the best men’s doubles will be chosen in the Pala Alpitour, the venue in Turin.
However, one thing will be missing at the ATP Finals 2022: The current number one in the world, Carlos Alcaraz, will miss the spectacle in Turin. He tore a muscle in his left abdominal wall in a duel against Holger Rune in the quarter-finals of the Masters in Paris.
In the individual, Taylor Fritz will take his place in the starting field. The American is in eighth place in the ATP ranking. Novak Djokovic, who is currently not in the top eight of the ATP rankings, entered the tournament for Fritz due to his Grand Slam success in Wimbledon. Due to the absence of Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz now has the chance to win the title at the ATP Finals.

The first two players and doubles pairings eventually qualify for the semi-finals at the ATP Finals. The two finals start on November 20th in the Pala Alpitour in Turin. The doubles final is scheduled for 4 p.m. However, the individual at the ATP finals does not start before 7 p.m.
