Tarantino says he LOVED ‘Top Gun: Maverick’: “It’s a cinematic spectacle”

the renowned filmmaker Quentin Tarantino (‘Pulp Fiction’) tore praise to ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘, a film with Tom Cruise that opened in theaters in May of this year. The sequence of ‘Top Gun – Indomitable Aces‘ (1986) soon became the biggest box office of the star’s career and, apparently, it really deserved all this moral, since Tarantino defined it as a “cinematic spectacle”.

“Normally, I don’t talk much about new films, because then I’m forced to praise, otherwise I end up scolding someone. But in this case, I absolutely loved Top Gun: Maverick. The movie is fantastic. I watched it at the cinema. That film and Spielberg’s Love, Sublime Love were true cinematic spectacles. The kind I thought I would never see again.”said Tarantino.

The filmmaker is also a card-carrying geek, having worked for years at a video store. ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘ premiered in May of this year. The feature hit US$ 1 billion at the worldwide box office, being the most watched feature of 2022 until the day of publication of this article.
