Swisscom sells “local.fr” to Xavier Niel and withdraws from France

Swisscom sold its “local.fr” directory service to NJJ Capital, the investment company owned by French magnate Xavier Niel, who already owns competitor Salt. In Switzerland, the operator continues to operate “local.ch” with 550 full-time equivalents.
