the new movie Makoto Shinkai🇧🇷Suzume no Tojimari’ grossed well in Japan with an estimated $10 million in its opening weekend.
These numbers, for example, easily surpass ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘, from Marvel, which took $2.47 million. I mean, it made more than triple the amount.
Already ‘One Piece: Red’, which has been out for some time, took third place with $1.1 million. The box office highlights the dominance of anime in Japan’s cinema.

The plot accompanies suzumea young resident of a small town in the region of Kyushu🇧🇷 One day, she meets a traveler looking for a door and ends up entering a great adventure.
17-year-old Suzume’s journey begins in a sleepy town in Kyushu when she encounters a young man who tells her: “I am looking for a door”🇧🇷 What Suzume finds is a single worn door standing in the middle of ruins, as if it were protected from any catastrophe. Seemingly hypnotized by her power, Suzume reaches for the doorknob… Doors begin to open one after another across Japan, unleashing destruction on anyone within reach. Suzume must close these portals to prevent further disasters.
Remembering that ‘Suzume no Tojimari‘ will be released in Brazilian theaters in early 2023. But, there is still no specific date.

Both the direction and the script are by Shinkai (which became known for the mega hit ‘Your Name‘) with character designs from Masayoshi Tanaka (‘Time with You’, also by Shinkai), Takumi Tanji in art direction and Kenichi Tsuchiya in the animation direction. The studio is again the CWF, and the distribution is by TOHO.
