The astro Tom Holland surprised fans by telling the magazine GQ that he would be considering leaving the Spider-Man character in the near future.
And the producer of the current franchise, Amy Pascal, reacted to his position and in an interview with the same publication, stated that she will not continue involved with the character, if Holland leaves the role.
“I’ve already been able to talk to Tom about doing, like, 100 more productions. I don’t think I’ll be working on Spider-Man movies anymore without him. Are you kidding me?”
na to GQ, Holland talked about his future as Peter Parker and admitted that he can’t imagine playing Spider-Man when he’s already 30 years old.
Considering that the star is already 25, that means he only has five more years to take on the mantle of the character.
Asked about the matter, he replied categorically:
“Maybe it’s time for me to move on. Perhaps the best thing for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales movie. I have to take Peter Parker into consideration as well, because he’s an important part of my life… But if I stay in this role after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong…”
please note that Jon Watts, the director of the current Cabeça de Teia trilogy, will be busy in the coming years with the upcoming adaptation of ‘Fantastic Four’ for the MCU.
So far, Holland has lived the hero in six movies over the five years since he debuted in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.[display-posts orderby="rand"]
In addition to the trilogy, he also participated in ‘Avengers: Infinite War’ e ‘Completed’.
Despite the farewell message, it’s worth remembering that the next five years can still explore Peter coming out of high school and becoming a more responsible hero with even greater challenges.
And as upcoming movies of the ‘Venom‘ will be linked to the ‘Spider man‘, there is still a lot of ground to be explored… Which could lead to another trilogy.
About that, ‘Spider-Man: No Return Home‘ has a premiere scheduled for December 16, 2021 in national cinemas.
