After careful consideration of the new trailer from Spider-Man: No Way Home, some fans would have identified the edited scene in which the Spider-Man by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

The second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home sees a proliferation of villains from the previous franchises. Villains who enter the dimension of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker after Peter has ruined a spell in Doctor Strange by inadvertently opening the multiverse wide.

In the trailer we see Green Goblin, Sandman, Electro and Lizard in action and the first details on the motivations of the antagonists are also revealed. Despite the advances and rumors that have flooded the web in the past months, however, for the moment there is no trace of the apparitions of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Yet there is a moment in the trailer (which you see in the tweet above) that has some fans alarmed.

A frame from the new trailer

In the climax of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man lunges at a trio of enemies as he plays the title card. One of these, Lizard (Rhys Ifans), who we see in the lower part of the frame, suddenly turns behind him, as if there is something behind him. Since we don’t see anything, fans suspect Spider-Man Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield’s has been deleted from the trailer so as not to spoil the hype for viewers.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, leaked images confirm various rumors

This, for Marvel, wouldn’t be the first time a scene has been cut or edited to sidetrack fan expectations. To have the definitive confirmation of this intuition, we just have to wait until December 15th when Spider-Man: No Way Home will break into Italian cinemas.
