‘Spider-Man 3’: J. Jonah Jameson will be “a slightly different version” of the sequel, says JK Simmons

The long awaited sequel ‘Spider-Man: No Return Home‘, promises to surprise fans with the return of several characters, and sensational editor J. Jonah Jameson will be back in production, alongside some villains from previous Friend of the Neighborhood franchises.

But according to the star and interpreter of the character, J.K. Simmons, Jameson will be a little different in the upcoming movie. During a podcast interview Happy Sad Confused he gave details about the changes.

“I think it’s a slightly different version, and certainly for creators of this current iteration of the story, he’s going to be a very different character. For me it’s also a little different character. Most importantly, he’s still the same braggart and has that old mustache (or nearly so), plus his cigar, of course. And as befits this character, he’s just a little comic relief that’s sprinkled lightly on the film.”

A poster was recently released that in addition to highlighting MJ (zendaya), also brings a glimpse of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Lizard (Rhys Ifan) and the new look of Duende Verde (Willem Dafoe).

In the background, the folds of the Multiverse are also present in the image, along with Spider-Man (Peter Parker) and Dr Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).
