According to new rumors, Greta Gerwig would have been proposed to write the screenplay for Snow White, the live action that Disney is planning.
The live action remake of snow-white is one of the many projects at stake in Disney and it looks like the studio is thinking about outsourcing Greta Gerwig the script of the film.
According to The DisInsider, Greta Gerwig would be chosen as the screenwriter for the live action film Snow White. The reported rumors say that the director and screenwriter has been involved in the drafting for some time and apparently has already prepared a draft for the project. Will there really be his touch in the script of this new Disney remake? We await certain confirmation from the studios but, if so, we can expect something special for this live action.
Recall that Greta Gerwig in recent years has achieved great success in Hollywood, in particular with Lady Bird in 2017 and the adaptation of Little Women in 2019, of which she oversaw both the script and the direction. The two films achieved great critical acclaim, and Little Women was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Non-Original Screenplay.
Most recently, the director was recruited to write a live-action film about Barbie and it was later confirmed that she will also direct the project, which will star Margot Robbie.
As for the live action of Snow White, we know that Disney has already found the protagonists, namely Rachel Zegler for the role of the protagonist and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen. We just have to wait to have some more news and, above all, to know when the new film will be released.
