A recent study by our colleagues from La Voix du Nord has proven that French supermarkets bend all competition in terms of price. By comparing the prices of twenty products bought in a French brand and in a Belgian supermarket, they came to a frightening conclusion: for the same shopping, the French shopping cart is almost 30 € cheaper!
We did the experiment on the side of Erquelinnes, by comparing the prices of around twenty products from Colruyt and Proxy Delhaize in Erquelinnes with those of the Intermarché de Jeumont, in France. Our analysis agrees with the findings of our French colleagues.
