The US champion, who finished fifth at the end of the first heat, was the protagonist of an amazing comeback that led her to conquer the 116th career podium and the 47th victory in a special slalom. A result of very strong significance for the Colorado native champion who a few days ago defeated Covid-19 and who at the finish line melted into a liberating cry. Second place for the Slovakian Petra Vlhova – arrived at the finish line with a delay of only 15 cents – which was so to speak consoled with the victory of the specialty cup with two races to spare and who, together with Shiffrin, also won very heavy points for the overall World Cup classification, which also sees the blue Sofia Goggia in contention for the final victory. The German completes the podium Lena Duerr which accused a final delay of 93 cents. Fourth place and best career result for Switzerland Camille Rast. Disappointment, however, for the combination Nullmeyer-Holdener, third ex aequo after the first part of the race but eliminated in the second heat. Twenty-third final square, finally, for Anita Gulli, the only Italian athlete left in the race after the first heat.
