This Saturday, around 9:45 a.m., an accident occurred on the Chaussée de Charleroi (N29) in Fleurus. A driver lost control of his vehicle when he slipped on a patch of ice. The right side of his car then slammed into a tree before flipping onto its side.
Jumet firefighters were called to the scene. Indeed, marking and extrication of the victim were necessary, thus blocking traffic between Fleurus and Ligny for a good hour.
An ambulance from the PIT and the SMUR were also on site to provide first aid to the victim, who was then taken to hospital.
