Seoni News: Two accused including tiger nails and three bones arrested from Nagpur

Seoni (Rep. of New Zealand). On the information received from the forest officials of the district, Nagpur Forest Department has arrested two accused resident of Sitapur village with one nail of a tiger and three bones of a tiger. Both the accused are involved in the gang caught with tiger bones in Seoni’s Khawasa.

During interrogation, both of them have given the names of other five accused arrested from different places by taking action in the month of August by Seoni South Forest Division and STF team. On the night of 24 August, the forest staff of South General Forest Division, with the help of Jabalpur STF, arrested Balchand Varkade (40), a resident of Sitapur village, from Khawasa with about 9 kg of tiger bones. After this, the forest staff arrested the other four accused from Pindkapar, Sitapur and Barhena villages of Nagpur, adding to the interrogation.

After the names of two accused residents of Sitapur village came to the fore in the investigation, the officials of the South General Forest Division informed the Nagpur Forest Department to take action. On September 9, on Thursday, Rajkumar Markam and Kamal Singh Bhalavi were arrested by the staff of the Nagpur Forest Department along with the parts of the tiger. One nail of a tiger has been seized from the possession of Rajkumar Markam, resident of Sitapur village and three nos. bones from the possession of Kamal Singh. More arrests are also expected in this case.

Their arrest has been done: South Forest Division and STF team have already arrested five accused, in addition to Balchand Varkade, Roshan Uike (30) resident of Pindkapar village and Narbad Kodvate (35) resident of Barhena village Kailash Bhalavi (40) and ITI. Her nephew Rahul Bhalavi (22) Parsivani, who is studying, is included. The forest staff has seized two rifles, bones and other materials from the accused.

On receiving the names of two people associated with the gang involved in the smuggling of tiger organs, the information was given to the Nagpur Forest Department for action. Since the accused belonged to Nagpur area, the forest staff there has registered a case and took action. During interrogation, the accused have given the names of the accused imprisoned in Seoni jail.
