The long awaited sequel to ‘Panic‘ is one of the highlights of the new edition of the magazine Total Film, which brings details of the upcoming production, as well as unpublished images.
And what caught my attention the most was the part where the co-director Tyler Gillett reveals that they already imagine new films in the franchise after the fifth:
“This new cast of characters is so wonderful. The legacy cast is so wonderful. I think what we found, and what [os roteiristas] Guy [Busick] and James [Vanderbilt] did, is that they found a real reason for the next story to exist. We know there’s more gas in the tank. There are more stories to be told in Woodsboro, and about these characters for sure.”
That is, ‘Panic 6‘ is a possibility.
In the same publication, Neve Campbell revealed details about the plot of the fifth film:
“Sidney is a mother now,” Campbell revealed. “So, she has another level of strength as a woman. She is living outside her hometown. She lives far from Woodsbooro. And she has a happy life. And that’s all I can say,” he revealed.
The actress also tells how she was convinced to return to the fifth film.
“I thought I left Sidney behind when we lost Wes. I was apprehensive about the idea of Panic being revived by someone else. When the movie came out, I thought, ‘Oh no!’ And then I watched Bloody Marriage, and I realized that the directors were superbly talented, and that their film was certainly in keeping with the tone of the films in the franchise.”

The first film in the franchise opened in 1996 and became an instant revolutionary classic that mixed elements of horror. slasher with cinematic metalanguage. Directed by Wes Craven and scripted by Kevin Williamson, the plot focused on a serial killer masked man known by the name of Ghostface, who used catchphrases and a frightening knowledge of genre productions to pursue his victims.
