With premiere scheduled for august 5ththe adaptation of ‘Sandman’ won a new synopsis, bringing more details about the protagonist lived by Tom Sturridge.

“There is another world that awaits us all when we close our eyes and sleep – a place called the Dream Realm, where Sandman, the Master of Dreams, gives shape to all our deepest fears and fantasies. Dream is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for nearly a century, and his absence sets off a series of events that will change the dream and waking worlds forever. To restore order, he must travel across different worlds and timelines to right the wrongs he made during his vast existence, revisiting old friends and enemies and meeting new entities – both cosmic and human – along the way.”
‘sandman‘ is the most popular creation of Neil Gaiman and is centered on the mythical being Sonho, part of a group known as Os Perpétuos or Os Sem Fim. As its name implies, the protagonist of the comics reigns over the world of dreams. The plot begins when he escapes his captivity, which lasted 70 years, and finds his kingdom dilapidated in the present day.
The cast still has Gwendoline Christie (Lucifer) Vivienne Acheapong (Lucienne), Boyd Holbrook (Corinthian), Charles Dance (Roderick Burgess), Asim Chaudhry (Abel), Sanjeev Bhaskar (Cain), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Death), Mason Alexander Park (Desire), Donna Preston (Despair), Jenna Coleman (Johanna Constantine), Niamh Walsh (Ethel Cripps) and Joely Richardson (Ethel).
Allan Heinberg (‘Wonder Woman’) will serve as showrunner for the series.
