Sam Raimi wants to direct new horror movie INTENSE

In an interview with Slash Filmthe filmmaker Sam Raimi (‘Death of the Devil’) revealed he would like to direct a new horror film, returning to the genre after the fun ‘Drag me to Hell‘, which was released in 2009.

“I wouldn’t want to do something on the same budget as ‘Death of the Devil’. I mean, that was brutal. It was extremely difficult. I would like to do something more contained, like ‘The Gift’ or ‘A Simple Plan’. These are smaller budget films that focus on their characters and tension.”

he completes, “It would be great to direct a contained, intense horror.”

It is worth remembering that the new film directed by the filmmaker, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘, will be released in national cinemas on May 5th.
