Sad news in Florennes: the alderman of Works Jacques Pauly died at 72

This Sunday, the news of the death of Alderman Jacques Pauly saddened all the inhabitants of Florennes. Aged 72, he was still in charge of works, the environment and even housing.

Previously, Jacques Pauly had worked as a postman before becoming the local delegate of the Mutualités Christianes de Walcourt and then Namur. He had also been part of the municipal council of Florennes for 35 years and had chaired the local CPAS.

In January 2019, Jacques Pauly became Chairman of the Conseil de Fabrique. He was particularly invested in local associations. He leaves behind his partner Sandra, his two children, his four grandchildren and his five brothers and sisters.

Jacques Pauly will be buried on June 15. A ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the Saint-Aubin church. The editorial staff of La Nouvelle Gazette Entre-Sambre et Meuse and La Meuse Namur offers its condolences to all his family and loved ones.
