Ryan Reynolds Calls Wolverine Movie “Complete Disaster”

Before starring in the Deadpool movies, Ryan Reynolds lived the foul-mouthed mercenary in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. During an interview for a comedy festival (via CBM), the actor revisited the film and couldn’t resist the chance to attack co-star Hugh Jackman (Logan/Wolverine).

“Everyone is waiting for me to slaughter Hugh Jackman, but he was one of the first movie stars I worked with, in 2007, in a complete disaster called X-Men Origins: Wolverine – it was his fault that it was so bad,” he joked. Reynolds. “And what impressed me about him was that he was so kind.”

The actor continues, now heaping praise on Jackman: “He was one of the first people of that level I saw treating the cook in the same way as the director, or the producer, or the head of the studio. He just treats everyone the same. And you know that kind of impression spreads. And I think Hugh Jackman is probably responsible for a lot of the best people working in the weird and wonderful world of showbusiness,” he concluded.

The two actors will appear together again in Deadpool 3, reprising their respective characters.
