An emergency service spokesman said the L-410 plane made a hard landing in the taiga. A total of 16 people were on board the plane including two crew members.

After the plane disappeared on the radar, the air traffic controller informed the emergency ministry. In a hurry, a Mi-8 helicopter was dispatched to search for the aircraft. Shortly thereafter, emergency services reported that the plane appeared to have caught fire. However, one of the passengers has called his relatives.
All passengers safe, one critical
The Russian investigative committee, citing preliminary information about the accident, said that all passengers on board the plane were safe. One of the passengers is in critical condition. The committee also said that a criminal case has been registered for violation of safety norms.
