Royal family in quarantine
Crown Princess Victoria tested positive again

Five days after her parents, Crown Princess Victoria also had a corona test positive. The 45-year-old is now in quarantine with her family. She was infected just under a year ago.

Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria has again tested positive for the corona virus. “The Crown Princess, who is fully vaccinated, has cold symptoms, but is otherwise fine,” said a statement from the royal family. Accordingly, the 45-year-old and her family are in isolation at home.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were infected with the virus last March. At that time, the princess had mild symptoms, but they soon got better, as a spokeswoman for the court had explained after Victoria had recovered.

The triple vaccinated parents of Victoria, King Carl XVI. Gustaf and Queen Silvia tested positive on Monday. According to a report, they too only suffer from mild symptoms of the disease.

Sweden had taken a looser path than most other European countries in the initial phase of the corona pandemic and was also criticized for it. In the country with 10.4 million inhabitants, around 15,300 people have died from or with the corona virus. More than 1.4 million people became infected.
