Revenge for canceled Roskilde concert: Kendrik Lamar comes to Denmark – rapper about sex in Copenhagen

Kendrick Lamar has just released a new album – now he is also coming to Denmark.

The 34-year-old American rapper should have been the main name at the corona-canceled Roskilde Festival in 2020, and many had probably hoped that he had instead joined the program this year.

As you know, he did not, but now there is still good news for Danish Kendrick Lamar fans.

Just as he released his new album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’, he also reveals a new tour that will take him past the Royal Arena in Copenhagen on 15 October.

According to Live Nation, the ticket prices will be between 455 and 745 kroner.

Kendrick Lamar has already played in the Royal Arena once before back in 2018, just as he has played once at Smukfest and twice at the Roskilde Festival.

He is described as one of the world’s greatest rappers and one of the most influential in the genre of his generation.

In addition, he has made a name for himself by being the first rapper in history to have received a Pulitzer Prize, while his song ‘Alright’ a few years ago became the unofficial theme song for the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States.

If Kendrick Lamar in the Royal Arena plays all the songs from his new album, there will also be a special reference to Denmark from the stage.

He is rapping on the new song ‘Worldwide Steppers’ about the time he had sex with a woman in 2013 in connection with a concert in Denmark.

“Next time I fucked a white bitch, was out in Copenhagen / Good kid, mAAd city tour, I flourished on them stages,” it reads on the song – first spotted by the music medium Soundvenue.

Ticket sales for the concert on October 15 in the Royal Arena start next Friday, May 20.
