Ghostbusters: Mais Além follows the trend of other major productions and features two post-credits scenes. The two moments have different functions.
One is after the initial credits. Meanwhile, the other one is just at the end of all credits. One of these moments has a funny reference, while the other indicates a sequence.
Fans may remember this Marvel format, which uses post-credit scenes in the same way.
Ghostbusters: Beyond is in theaters
Ghostbusters: Beyond serves as a sequel to the classic Ghostbusters story. The plot follows a single mother and two children who move to a small town and begin to discover the real legacy of their grandfather, Egon Spengler, the creator of the proton backpack.
Unfortunately, Egon’s interpreter, Harold Ramis, died in 2014 at age 69, which prevented a reunion of all the original characters. With that, Ghostbusters: Beyond was born to honor the legacy of the beloved franchise.[display-posts orderby="rand"]
The plot begins when this family moves to the old farm that their grandfather left in the middle of Oklahoma. It turns out that there are the old equipment used by the Ghostbusters.
The city, at the same time, begins to register strange events and even the return of monsters previously faced by the original characters.
To unravel this mystery, Egon’s grandchildren will have the help of Mr. Grooberson, their teacher; a young presenter of a supernatural podcast; and the daughter of the town sheriff.
For the new Ghostbusters adventure, Sony brings a strong cast. Some of the actors in the lead roles are Paul Rudd the Ant-Man from Marvel and Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things.
The actor in Stranger Things is Trevor, one of Egon’s grandchildren, while the Marvel star is the teacher who helps children. Carrie Coon is Callie, the ghost hunter’s daughter, and McKenna Grace is Phoebe, the other granddaughter.
Logan Kim takes the role of podcast host and Celeste O’Connor is Lucky, the sheriff’s daughter.
Original franchise actors also return. The confirmed laps are Bill Murray (Peter Venkman), Dan Ackroyd (Ray Stantz), Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore), Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz) and Sigourney Weaver (Dana Barrett).
Directed by Jason Reitman, son of Ivo Reitman, the original director of classic films.
