The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for many states of the country for the next five days. According to the IMD, in the next few days, there may be heavy rain in many parts of Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Odisha. The India Meteorological Department has predicted that isolated rain and thundershowers with light to moderate intensity will occur at some places of Delhi and NCR namely Noida, Greater Noida, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Indrapuram, Dadri, Gurugram and adjoining areas. Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Mahe have received heavy rains for the last one or two days. During the last 24 hours, many parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Gujarat have received four times the average rainfall.
