First outing of the queen Elizabethon May 13, after the numerous renunciations it was forced to in recent months and after the forfeit of the institutional appointment of the Queen’s Speech at the British Parliament, for which it was replaced, for the first time since 1963, by the prince Charles. The 96-year-old sovereign has reappeared to attend the special edition of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, a traditional parade of the horses of the royal stable inserted among the celebrations of the Platinum Jubilee which this year marks the 70th anniversary of her record reign. The event also takes place in the park of Windsor Castle, on the outskirts of London, where her Majesty now resides permanently, and therefore she has not forced her to travel long. Elizabeth II recently admitted to having “mobility problems”.
