As at the beginning of the year, the first trailer “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” were released and an official poster for the film was released, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) began examining all the material for clues and easter eggs. Meanwhile, the rumor surfaced that wolverine will be involved in the Wizard’s second solo adventure. However, the fans speculated that Hugh Jackman would not embody the claw-swinging mutant, but Daniel Radcliffe.

After the British actor announced several times that he would not be following in Hugh Jackman’s footsteps, he now spoke again in an interview with GQ to this topic. Daniel Radcliffe spoke plainly:

“It’s a pure press tour rumor. I say something and then sometimes I get bored of responding that way, so I say something else and that triggers it again. I should just never open my mouth.”

Daniel Radcliffe was on the show “Good Morning Britain” in March of this year for the film “The Lost City” and already commented on the Marvel fan request there:

“I still get asked about it and I always try to say, ‘No, it’s not going to happen. It’s just a Twitter rumor.’ But everyone takes that as confirmation. It’s just a fan theory at this point. I like the comparison. Who wouldn’t like to be compared to Hugh Jackman. […] I would never say never, but then it sounds like I’m conjuring it up. I’m sure Marvel is watching and thinking, ‘We’re not thinking about you buddy. Don’t ask us.’”

So we probably won’t see Daniel Radcliffe in the MCU, but these Marvel highlights await you in the coming years:

Hugh Jackman returns as Wolverine

In fact, Wolverine is only 160 cm tall in the comics and with that Daniel Radcliffe would at least meet this requirement quite well, because his height is 165 cm. At an impressive 190 cm, Hugh Jackman, on the other hand, was far removed from the literary comic mutant. In the meantime, however, it has been confirmed that we will see Hugh Jackman again as Wolverine, because the Hollywood star returns to his iconic role for “Deadpool 3” and will make the hearts of X-Men fans beat faster alongside Ryan Reynolds . However, you still have to be patient a little until the joint venture of the two, as the film will only be released on November 6, 2024 starts in Germany.
